1. Free Site Assessment
Harvest Solar begins every project with a free site assessment that
includes an initial consultation, detailed data gathering, and a full
energy use analysis. During this stage, we meet with you to
understand your operational goals, review your facility and available
roof or ground space, and collect key information such as utility bills
and electrical layouts. We then analyze your historical energy
consumption and demand patterns to determine how a solar system
can best offset your usage, reduce costs, and support your long-
term objectives.
2. Project Design & Financial Analysis
Our engineers develop the system from conceptual layout to
detailed design, including sizing, load analysis, and structural
considerations. Alongside design, our team models your projected
ROI and cash flows while identifying all available incentives to
reduce project cost. We also support you in evaluating financing
options and securing the most cost-effective approach for your
organization.
3. Engineering & Approvals
We prepare the As-Designed Draft and conduct full engineering
review to ensure accuracy, safety, and code compliance before
release. Operations teams verify constructability, and a PE-
stamped customer design packet is completed for formal approval.
4. Permitting & Approvals
Harvest Solar handles the entire utility interconnection process for
you, including preparing and submitting your interconnection
application and coordinating with your utility provider. We also work
closely with local jurisdictions to secure all required permits and
approvals, ensuring your project stays on schedule
5. Procurement
Harvest Solar excels in the procurement of all necessary
components for your solar project. We prioritize using the best
materials and equipment available in the industry, ensuring a
timely and cost-effective installation. Our strong industry
connections allow us to offer competitive pricing without
sacrificing quality or performance, making the procurement
process seamless and efficient.
6. Construction Mobilization
We coordinate locate services such as MissDig and schedule the full
construction timeline. Equipment is delivered and staged onsite, followed
by site preparation, trenching, racking installation, and module mounting.
Electrical interconnection is completed, leading up to full mechanical
completion of the system.
7. Inspections & Testing
Required permit inspections are completed with local authorities to verify
compliance with building and electrical codes. Harvest Solar performs an
as-built review to confirm the system matches design specifications,
followed by the final utility inspection needed for approval.
8. Commissioning & Activation
The system undergoes comprehensive testing and verification to
ensure proper performance and safety—requirements that may
vary depending on system size, type, and local jurisdiction. Once
all inspections are passed and your utility grants Permission to
Operate (PTO), your solar array is officially activated, and
monitoring tools are set up to track production in real time.
9. Operations & Maintenance (O&M)
Our team offers ongoing preventive maintenance service as an
optional add-on upon request, keeping your system operating at
peak performance. Regular inspections and optimization help
maximize long-term energy production and extend the lifespan of
your equipment.
10. Dedicated Service Support
Harvest Solar maintains a long-term partnership with every client
through responsive service and proactive system support. We
also manage incentive programs—including SRECs—to ensure you
continue receiving the maximum financial benefit from your
investment.
